Popeye Village

Playmobil Fun Park

The Playmobil Fun Park comprises both an internal as well as an external play area, offering hours of play and fun. Specific theme oriented zones full of Playmobil toys are available for toddlers and youngsters in the internal area, while outside there is space for water based activities, a good sized sand-pit, a playhouse and life-size Playmobil animals. The park offers a unique play experience in an area of 2,000 square metres.

Playmobil Fun Park also organise craft workshops where children have fun and learn all about pottery, face painting, plants and similar activities. These are usually held on weekend and during school holidays.

 

 

 


 

Mediterraneo Marine Park
SPLASH & FUN PARK

Falconry Centre

Explore the Malta Falconry Centre and live this unique experience, watch falconers fly several different species of well trained birds of prey and see these magnificent birds in free flight. Adventure Park Ta’ Qali

The BOV Adventure Park in Ta’ Qali is accommodates both the younger and older generations, featuring numerous slides, fun installations, sports and fitness facilities, as well as fountains, benches, plants and open areas where children can play freely in a welcoming and fun environment. The park offers a wide range of leisure activities for free to the general public, as well as team-building opportunities for organisations and other groups interested in using the BOV Adventure Park as part of their efforts to involve their members in exciting outdoor activities.

 

 


 

SIMAR NATURE RESERVESimar Nature Reserve – St. Paul’s Bird Sanctuary

The Simar Nature Reserve located close to Xemxija and St. Paul’s Bay was developed by Bird Life Malta in the early 1990s, from neglected marshland into a wildlife sanctuary. It is the home of many breeding, wintering and migratory birds with habitats which include pools and canals, reeds, an olive grove and hundreds of trees planted by volunteers. Simar is the only place in the Maltese islands where the Little Bittern has bred and the Reed Warbler nests. It has the largest population of breeding Moorhen in the islands. Wildlife includes snakes, skinks and chameleons and a variety of invertebrates.

 

 


 

THE LWS ANIMAL PARKThe LWS Animal Park

The LWS Animal Park offers an educational and fun filled day.

The park is unique in Malta spread over landscaped gardens, with a touch of ‘wilderness’ to provide a natural setting in a well-kept outdoor facility. The park is the home of an array of animals that were either donated or recovered from adverse conditions including rabbits, mountain goats, emus, deer, llama and monkeys. These animals are kept in the best possible conditions under the care of specialists.

Children love the park because it provides a unique petting and feeding experience. This amazing day out is topped by the minature railway, climbing frames and play area, go karts and wheelchair swing. All the facilites in the park are specially designed for easy access and use by the disabled. The Park also has a stable area, with horses and ponies which children can ride. It is truly the place where kids have fun.

 


 

The Malta National Aquarium

THE MALTA NATIONAL AQUARIUMThe Malta National Aquarium project is spread over approximately 20,000 square meters and comprises a public aquarium, a public landscaped belvedere at promenade level, a multi storey car park, facilities for local dive schools, catering facilities including a beach club, a merchandise outlet and a tourist information kiosk.

The public aquarium has 26 display tanks with Mediterranean fish, including fish commonly found in Maltese waters together with replicas of historical artefacts that one can find in the seas around the Maltese islands.

The main tank of the aquarium houses species from the Indian Ocean, including eight black tip sharks, horn sharks, rays, eels and other exotic species. The main tank is approximately 12 meters in diameter and has a walk-through tunnel that allows visitors to experience the fish at a much closer range.

All tanks are expertly themed to replicate the underwater environment. Additional features of the public aquarium include a class room facility, interpretation, touch pools, a temporary exhibition space, veterinary and quarantine facilities.

The national aquarium is in an iconic curved shell structure in the form of a starfish. The adjacent promenade  provides additional recreation facilities for pedestrians including a children’s play area.
